My wife and I attended the 25th reunion and had a great time. It was great to reminisce and it was great to hear what folks have been doing in the meantime. But what I appreciated most was the continuity I could see in people. I could see the 10 year old, the 15 year old in the person and it was wonderful. I have moved a fair amount and am in regular touch with almost no one from those days in any kind of consistent basis, so those moments of seeing something essentially the same that I can appreciate now more than I could then was more than worth the price of admission.

I am really looking forward to the weekend.

Thought I would give you my 'two cents' on people coming to the reunion.  Even if you have not kept up with anyone from H.S., you know that you have at least one thing in common.  And, as I am certain you notice more and more as we get older, we shared a very special time in history (as my 20+ daughter often mentions in a jealous tone, particularly about the music).  If nothing else, you are likely to make new friends and create some fun and interesting memories!  Don't think; just do it!

Thanks again for all your work in keeping everyone updated and moving the process along.  We do appreciate the efforts of you and the committee.

I have only returned to one class reunion.  It was the 15th reunion, held in 1986.  I could not distinguish some people then, however I am very recognizable.  It is easy for me to be sociable and can be an entertainer.  Everyone can not be this way.  I would suggest to those classmates who are hesitating about attending.  They could be there by recalling those days on the old hilltop, and where they are today.  The time has flown by, nobody looks the same any more.  There should not be any embarrasment.  We will all have to ask, "and so, who are you?"  I had to asked that question in '86.  This is a mighty big class.  Everybody does not know everyone else.  So, come on out, meet and greet.

I don't know many people who are attending, but I am still excited to come because I have a shared history with all my classmates, whether I really knew them or not. It's time to grow up and not feel like we have to be part of our high school clique in order to attend. We are probably still in touch with the people to whom we are the closest. We don't have to attend a reunion to see them. In fact, the more people I don't know, the more interesting it will be. I don't know if this helps, but feel free to pass this message on in any manner if you think it will help at all.

as a member of the reunion committee, I just took a few minutes to read the comments that have been posted.

Jim, I can relate to your story.  At the last reunion, I sat with some people from the class who I considered friends, others I knew were part of the class but had no contact with them, socially or academically.  We had a WONDERFUL time, laughed and laughed and laughed.  As the years progress, we reflect back to those HS days....sometimes I wish I was back there and sometimes I'm GLAD I'm the age I am  (19 of course   :-)

Jim, I hope you can make it.  You look EXACTLY as you did in school, I'd recognize you in a heartbeat.

Willie, I've seen pics of you on Facebook and I'd recognize you, might have to think for a minute if we met out of context, but you look the same....

I know I'm looking forward to this event, not just as a member of the committee but a  proud member of the Class of 1971, the 10th graduating class from East Brunswick High School!!!!!

Sure hope that all of you can attend, if not then send along notes that we can post at the reunion for all to see. We're also planning on posting photos taken at the reunion on the web page so those who unfortunately can't attend can catch up and see who was there.

i was somewhat undecided about coming until i read a line in the papers that were sent to me that this is the 40th reunion and there may not be many people left for the 50th reunion.That CLINCHED IT ! I emailed bill chafatelli and i mentioned that with everyone now looking so different from 1971 that people may be asking that question from the movie BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. WHO ARE THESE GUYS (GIRLS) ? I saw the number of people on the list that the committee can't locate, that is all together fitting with so many people who skipped school we were the only high school in NJ, WITH ARE OWN MISSING PERSONS BUREAU ! looking forward to it.

I have 2 reunions on the same weekend. I didn't graduate from EBHS (my family moved to IL at the end of sophomore year), so until yesterday I was planning to go to the reunion in Chicago with classmates I had known for my junior and senior years. Then I read the comments and messages and looked at the photos on this web site. I went to school in East Brunswick with most of my 5 younger siblings from kindergarten through age 15...riding my bike to Lawrence Brook School and Churchill...I have a flood of memories, and a sincere desire to get back in touch. So since it's not too late, I would like to attend this reunion. I see many familiar names on the list, and funny, fond, if foggy images from the past to go with them. Looking forward to seeing you!

Had a great time last night!!!  Met up with alot of classmates.  Said we will stay in touch and I hope it happesn.

Bravo to the reunion committee for fantastic job!!!   Hope to post pictures soon.
