Dear fellow EB '71 alums,

I have been delighted to hear the news of those of you who have choosen to post!

Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Reunion Committee for your enthusiasm, energy and commitment putting the 40th Reunion together.

Both Cindi and I had been looking forward to attending the Reunion for some time, but were reluctant to commit for good reason.

I believe Cindi has mentioned our youngest son Matt and the timing of his return to Vermont for a special family Reunion precisely the weekend we were planning to be in EB. You see, Matt is a Navy guy and will soon be deployed for quite some time. We did not want to let this family gathering opportunity slip by and we just could not change the date.

One thing for another... always the case. Tougher when there are two great options.

Many memories of East Brunswick High School I still hold dear. Was it really 40 years ago ...or just last month that we were in class in those brick buildings "standing high upon a hilltop..."?

The most significant relationship developed with a classmate, because of a classmate, just after graduation. Cindi and I have Eileen (Pitzner) Chaladoff to credit for our meeting. Eileen, it's been 40 yrs since 6-21-1971. Where would Cindi and I be today if it was not for you. Remember?

Cindi and I have been on a fantastic journey, as I am sure you all have. We are electronic media aware. But, nothing can beat a Reunion in person, to recognize the faces (maybe), to swap stories, to recall some of the experiences we once shared and to celebrate our membership with EB Class '71.

For Cindi and I, regrettably, we will have to meet at a later date. Nancy Barko... it looks like the Sunset Blvd. Trifecta will be a Daily Double at best if you and Kevin Cathcart attend.
